It’s time for our annual Summer SG Fashion Fix Challenge!

There’s an abundance of fun and geeky things happening this summer, so we’re excited to see what everyone comes up with for all the prompts we’ve concocted. Alice and Nina are co-hosting once again, and are also taking over @sartorialgeek on Instagram to share your looks throughout the month! 😄

Week 1 (July 3-9): Beach Reads

What books are you diving into this summer? Show us what you’re reading poolside, at the beach, or in the comfort of your own home! We’d love to see your current reads and what’s on your TBR list. Feel free to put together bookish looks inspired by your favorite fictional characters too!

Week 2 (July 10-16): Cosmic Vibes

We’re stoked for the Ahsoka series to premiere in August, but Secret Invasion just recently came out and we just can’t resist an opportunity to have a space theme! What can we say? Our heads are constantly in the clouds and the stars above. This week, the sky’s not the limit! Go to infinity and beyond with characters and fandoms related to space. 🚀🌌👽🌠

Week 3 (July 17-23): Convention Couture

It’s San Diego Comic-Con week, which is basically like New York Fashion Week for us! From the casual looks of con goers and cosplayers roaming the Exhibit Hall, to the Her Universe Fashion show, and the X-Men Hellfire Gala, we’re all in for a smorgasbord of geek couture! Show off your finest casual or actual cosplays during this week.

Week 4 (July 24-31): Barbiecore

To say we’re excited for the Barbie movie is a complete understatement. So that’s why we’re dedicating the last week of our challenge to the ultimate fashion icon herself! Forget red, paint the town pink! Hot pink, rose, blush, pastel, ballet slipper, bubblegum, flamingo, Pepto Bismol — WE WANNA SEE IT ALL! Create looks based on your fave Barbie dolls or make up your own Barbiesona. 💝

We’re back!

Join us once again for a full month of geek inspired fashion for the Spring edition of the Sartorial Geek Fashion Fix Challenge! Our co-hosts, Alice and Nina, have prepared new prompts to fit the vibes of the season.

We can’t wait to see your looks 🤩

Week 1 (May 1-7): Galaxy

The first week of May brings us both May the 4th and Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol.3, so it was an obvious choice to celebrate all things related to the galaxy (far far away and otherwise)!

Week 2 (May 8-14): Festive Florals

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking. But we love a good floral ‘fit here at Sartorial Geek! Show us how you mix your fave fandoms with florals.

Week 3 (May 15-21): Surf the Vibe

When we think of a beach day, we usually associate it with Summer, but why wait?! We’re surfing the beachy vibes the warm spring air is giving. Put together a fun beach look inspired by characters from your favorite fandoms!

Week 4 (May 22-31): Wes Anderson

We’re loving the Wes Anderson trend that’s been going around on TikTok, so we wanted to hop in on the fun too! You can make your own Wes Anderson-esque video, or take inspiration from one of his many films for quirky ensemble.

Welcome to our first Fashion Fix Challenge of 2022! We’re so happy to have Nina and Alice back as co-hosts. The geeky fashionable duo have come up with a week’s worth of  fun prompts for you to show off your sartorial prowess. If you don’t feel like dressing up but still want to participate, by all means please do! You can flaunt your creativity by interpreting the prompts any way you please.

When the first Thor movie came out, my best friend told me I’d enjoy it because 1. It was fun, and 2. Thor was handsome and scruffy (aka my type). But as the movie progressed I couldn’t help but think, “Ooh, who’s the brother?!” I found Loki as a character very fascinating as he was troubled, sassy, misunderstood, and burdened with glorious purpose. Reading Loki: Agent of Asgard, Loki: Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi Lee, and the new Loki series by Daniel Kibblesmith has only fueled my love for the god of mischief even more.
