Happy Fall and Spooky Season, friends!
The Sartorial Geek Fashion Fix Challenge is back again for Fall, but we have some tricks up our sleeves this time around. Instead of doing a short one-week challenge, we’re doing a whole month! And as a treat, we’re bringing back prizes for those who participate.
Nina and Alice are back as co-hosts and have some conjured up some fun and spooky prompts for the month. Technically the challenge starts on the 3rd, but if you want to get a head start right on the 1st, by all means go for it!
Week 1 (October 3-9): Bookstagram
Fall is the perfect time to curl up with a book and a warm cuppa. What books are you reading this month? Create artistic Bookstagram layouts or put together looks inspired by your favorite books and fictional characters for the first week!
Week 2 (October 10-16): Leaf on the Wind
We love the cozy clothes, accessories, and rich colors associated with autumnal attire. Put together casual cosplays or Disneybounds with a Fall twist!
Week 3 (October 17-23): Night at the Museum
Draw inspiration from the gallery walls and halls of an art museum. Whether it’s a classic piece from Van Gogh, Botticeli, or contemporary artists such as Frida Kahlo, Jean-Michel Basquiat, or KAWS, we’d love to see your sartorial interpretation of different pieces of art.
Week 4 (October 24-31): Scary Tales
This week is dedicated to all the things that go bump in the night that give your heart a fright! Think of works from Anne Rice, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, creatures from folklore and mythology, or your favorite horror and Halloween movies. And of course we want to see what costumes y’all are planning to wear for Halloween!
