Dr. Love Wave and the Experiments is a fun comic series by Greg Gustin that deals with complex issues. It’s mostly sci-fi based, about a sci-fi surf rock band called “Dr Love Wave and the Experiments” and the lives of the members of said band.
So, I’ve been Animal Crossing obsessed since last March when the game out. Thus, when Colourpop Cosmetics announced their collab, I knew I needed the entire collection. It arrived a few weeks ago, so here’s a mini review of the whole collection!
First, the “balloon pop” super shock shadow and “bellionaire” glitter gel. Balloon Pop is a beautifully pigmented shade of rose gold that pairs beautifully with the rest of the collection, and it has a gorgeous shimmer. Balloon pop is a gold glitter gel with different sizes of glitters. I’ve used it on top of eyeshadow as well as on my cheeks. Both of these single products are great and would be excellent in any makeup collection!
Next are the blushes! Flower power is a very pretty shade of pink, and Flower tender is coral coloured. Both of these blushes are shimmery and lovely on the face. They are not exceptionally pigmented, which I don’t mind for a blush, but is good to know. I really love these blushes!
Next up, the mini palettes! Each has an adorable different name and features one shimmer shadow, one sequin shadow, one pressed glitter, and one matte. The color stories of each palette are gorgeous, and the shades all have game-themed names, which I loved. My one qualm with each mini palette is that there isn’t a lot of product for the price point. However, the shades are gorgeous, and it’s very easy to make a coherent look with each mini palette!
Last up, the “just a tint” mini lip tints! These products are ADORABLE and have the bonus of being scented like each fruit they’re meant to represent. Each shade is very cute and matches well with the rest of the collection! The scents are also very fun. Once again, however, the price point is high for the amount of product you get. Other than that, I recommend these!
As an added bonus, the full collection comes with this VERY cute sticker sheet! I just wanted to make sure everyone knew about the sticker sheet, because I love it!
Finally, here is a makeup look using the collection! On my eyelids is the “5 star Island” Isabelle themed mini palette, on my cheeks and nose is the “flower power” blush, and I’m wearing the “juicy apple” mini lip tint!
I hope you all enjoyed the review! This collection is seriously SO adorable and would be amazing for any Animal Crossing fan’s makeup collection!

Hello there! Dressing for the fall weather while still maintaining a fashionable, nerdy look, can be incredibly difficult. Luckily for you, in this article, I will provide you with four tips to keep your fall fashion warm AND geeky.
Tip #1: Wear a subtly geeky cardigan!
Subtly geeky cardigans are PERFECT for fall. They give you the warmth you need for chilly weather while remaining perfectly fashionable.
They work wonderfully with a tank top or t-shirt. I love to pair them with this black tee. I would also recommend trying them with a staple fall color, such as red or orange! Both of these geeky cardigans are from Elhoffer Design.
Tip #2: Pair a fashion cardigan with a geeky shirt.
If you’re like me and have a massive selection of geeky shirts, you can keep wearing them throughout fall!
A warm cardigan is a perfect way to make your nerdy shirts just that little bit warmer. I found this cardigan at Giant Tiger, but you can find some great cardigans in almost any clothing store.
You can also try pairing my next tip with this one for another fall ensemble! This shirt is from jordandene.
Tip #3: Jazz up your fandom sweatshirts and t-shirts with a hat!
Hats are in, in, in this fall!
I personally love my black fedora, but any wide brim is perfect. They level up any t-shirt or sweatshirt and bring your look right into that desired fall aesthetic. Halloween or fall-themed nerdy shirts are also a great idea.
This sweatshirt is from Her Universe, and the t-shirt is from Friday Apparel.
Bonus Tip #4: Berry Lipstick!
Because I’m wearing it in almost all my photos, I’m adding this tip. Berry lipstick is a perfect addition to any fabulous fall look!
So, there you have it! I hope these three tips help you elevate your geeky wardrobe this autumn!
I’ve always wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons. The idea had always intrigued me, and I really loved the idea. Unfortunately, for a long time, I wasn’t able to find anyone to play with and was left constantly wondering about the game. I let it go and stopped looking for anyone to play with.
Taylor Swift released her 8th studio album, folklore, on July 24th, 2020. Before she released the album, she released a statement on her twitter about how this album was inspired by stories. It’s a nice idea, but I wasn’t sure if it would translate well in the actual album.
A while ago, the BBC announced Time Lord Victorious, a multi-platform Doctor Who experience. It unites the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Doctor, as well as Rose Tyler. It unites all of the BBC’s licensees to tell a massive story.
Are you a bored Doctor Who fan who craves new content during this strange time? Have you been eyeing up Big Finish’s website but never known where to start?
This is the guide for you about where to start in Big Finish’s content from a feminist fan’s perspective.
I don’t know about other geeks, but my favorite thing to do when I’m sad is binge a stand-up comedy special on Netflix. In case you’re like me and are always looking for new recommendations while you self-isolate, here’s a list of my go-tos (with some newer additions!) All of these are available on Netflix unless otherwise specified.
