There’s so much to talk about in Black Panther, and I was so excited to chat all things Black Panther love with Robyn Warren of Geek Girl Strong and Chavon Coleman of Geeky and Creepy.

Since seeing Black Panther together opening night (along with Robyn’s mom and Chavon’s nephew), we haven’t really been able to stop talking about it. There’s just so much to say about the story and the characters and the way everything looks, and each viewing makes you notice something new.

There is so much to talk about when it comes to Black Panther, both the film itself and its impact. 90% of those things, if not more, I’m highly unqualified to talk about as a white-passing Lebanese girl. I encourage all of Sartorial Geek’s readers to look around at what the black community – especially young viewers – have to say about the film.

In the areas I do feel qualified to talk in – representation of women, depiction of “fantasy tech,” and nailing the Rule of Cool – they’re still on the ball. And I could happily write dozens of essays on everything this film did right, and all the scenes I’d point to as examples for future writers.

Yes, before you ask: this is a Black Panther blog now. (I’m only half-joking, but if you’ve been keeping track of our posts these last few weeks, you’d probably believe me, right?)

I shouldn’t have to tell you that since it’s release, Marvel Studios’ Black Panther has taken the world by storm. Theaters have sold out all around the world, filled to the brim with some of the most amazing outfits any of us have ever seen. The #BlackPantherChallenge has raised over $700k for kids in 50 different countries to see the film. Strangers all across Twitter have even bought tickets for each other.

Welcome to our new hump day series, for when you need a little mid-week snack. If you’ve been hanging out with us for any amount of time, you know we have a fictional crush unlimited fictional characters. We’re too excited to celebrate our favorites even more with these weekly appreciation posts.

If only felt right to begin this series with the man who has taken the internet by storm: M’Baku. Played by Winston Duke, M’Baku was one of the greatest parts of Black Panther (next to… every other part, because that movie is amazing). To avoid any movie spoilers, we’re going to stop talking and simply focus on all of this beauty:

Team Jordandenè has been struggling to keep this awesome news quiet for weeks now. A little while back, we got to hang out at the coolest photo shoot ever: RockLove Jewelry for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, modeled by our friend Robyn of Geek Girl Strong. Their modern take on a strong, fierce Wakandan warrior woman made for an awesome fitness-inspired photoshoot.

RockLove & Marvel officially released the collection on Tuesday. And it’s so full of T’Challa-inspired goodness, we had to share it with you all here, too.

Unless every red carpet from now on serves looks as iconic as those that graced the purple carpet at the Black Panther premier, I don’t want to hear about it. The film’s Monday night premier called for “regal attire” fit for Wakandan royalty. Surprising nobody, everyone showed up and showed out.

And because of this, all other red carpets have been ruined for me.

Here are some of my favorites:
