SARTORIAL GEEKS: ENSEMBLE!

Welcome to Sartorial Geek’s first ever Geek Fashion Fix Challenge, co-hosted by Nina and Alice!  Throughout the entire month of July (and a bit of August), we challenge you to post a new pic of a geek themed outfit based on your favorite characters and fandoms on your Instagram account.

We’ll be sharing our favorites throughout the weeks on our Instagram. Plus, the outfits you post will win you prizes from Jordandene!

From casual cosplays/Disneybounds to geek centric street style ensembles, and subtle looks with geeky elements, we want to see them all!

Check out our guidelines for each week’s theme:

Week 1 (July 1-7): Nerd Prom

School’s out for summer, but we’re kicking things off with looks inspired by fandoms with characters that are still hitting the books and saving the world after school. This would be the perfect week to rock a Spider-Man or Stranger Things outfit!

Week 2 (July 8-14): Magical Menagerie

Take a walk on the wild side for week 2 with outfits inspired by magical creatures from Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts, Pokémon, Disney animals, or characters that are animal centric (Black Panther, Batman, Catwoman, etc).

Week 3 (July 15-21): Mystery Box

You never know what you’re gonna get when you buy a Mystery Box/Bag toy. Week 3 is a free-for-all as every day will be a new surprise for us to see what everyone comes up with — you can choose to style a look from any fandom you want this week!!

Week 4 (July 22-28): Complex Female Characters

Channel your fave complex female identifying characters for a week full of GIRL POWER!

Week 5 (July 29-August 4): Get Lit[erary]

Seek inspo from your favorite books to create literary themed outfits. They can be your childhood fave, classics, epic poems, YA novels, graphic novels — if you can buy it at a bookstore or check it out at a library, you’re good to go!

To enter for a chance to win a prize, tag your geek outfit with #sgfashionfix.

Prize Tiers:

• Everyone who enters will receive a copy of the fashion issue of The Sartorial Geek magazine!

• 1 post per week: win a $25 Jordandene gift card, headband from Galaxy Gear Boutique, print from Kate Carleton, and pin from Lavender Green Art (5 winners; 1 each week)

• Post 20+ outfits throughout the month: win a $50 Jordandene gift card and a Disney-inspired box from Kal-Elle (2 winners)

• Post every day of the challenge: win a $100 Jordandene gift card, $50 Elhoffer Design gift card, a mug of your choice from Kit Cronk Studios, and a prize pack from LoganArch (1 winner)

Winners will be chosen at random at the end of the challenge to make sure a single person doesn’t win multiple times!

Rules:

• Photos must be new and not previously posted on your account
• Must follow @sartorialgeek on Instagram
• Instagram account must be public to be eligible to win prizes
• Must use #sgfashionfix for every outfit posted
• Description of outfit must include who the look is based on
• No cosplays unless you are attending a convention on a particular day during the challenge
