With The Rise of Skywalker‘s release quickly approaching, my Star Wars obsession has been peaking. To celebrate the rise of my obsession, I threw together an outfit that incorporates all of my favorite things, with a twist: Star Wars business casual!

The whole look

The day was incredibly overcast, making all my photos look like they took place on Kamino, but hey. I’m not complaining. It fit the “gray” mood of the outfit. There were so many fun elements to this even though it looks so simple. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the look!

Never Tell Me the Odds

-Han Solo

“Never tell me the odds” is easily my favorite quote from all of Star Wars. I had it on my graduation cap and I have seriously thought of getting it as part of a tattoo. So when I saw it available as a super cozy crop sweater at Jordandené I just knew I had to snag one for myself. This might have even been one of if not my first purchase from them! (You can use my code INFINITYJULES to get 15 percent off your own!) The script on this top is just so fantastic, and the descending shades of gray make it even better!

Gray Jedi

Speaking of gray, this look incorporates so many dark tones. My reasoning for this is my lean towards the Sith. I’ve always fancied myself as a Dark Lord or someone comfortably confused in the middle. Gray Jedi are my favorite and what I hope to see from both of our leads, Rey and Kylo, at the end of TRoS. Due to this, I decided to add my gray pair of Uniqlo’s EZY ankle-length pants into the look. I have these pants in so many colors, but just had to go with my gray pair for the look to work. I’m short so I almost always cuff the bottoms of my pants, which adds even more style. And these bad boys have an elastic band to squeeze right over your bum and fit your waist perfectly!

Twin Sunset

Tatooine, where it all started.

The next aspect of the outfit I wanted to showcase also happens to be my favorite scene from all of Star Wars. The twin sunset on Tatooine. When Luke Skywalker looks out to the suns in A New Hope, there is just so much emotion. So much promise. It is a call to action, and with the wonderful score by John Williams, easily my favorite moment. It is inspiring: your dreams might be just beyond that horizon. So when I saw Loungefly made a set of planet-themed mini bags, I knew this was the one I had to get.

I’m singing in Kamino~

This bag is awesome. It’s small enough to carry where ever, but not too small that it doesn’t fit anything in. I even had a water bottle hidden in here! The bag also comes with multiple hooks and two straps. I can wear it as a backpack, side bag, messenger, etc. I think I could even get away with using it as a handbag by holding onto the top strap.

The bag’s subtle muteness is perfect for everyday life. The colors aren’t loud and the design is simple. Those who know, will know. And those who don’t just think it’s a simple design with a strange word on it. Perfect for the office!

Vader’s Sith Slippers

There’s no place like Mustafar

For the final touch of the outfit, I wore a pair of sparkly Vader-themed flats. Vader is one of my favorite character’s of the series. I received these from my mom as a Christmas gift two years ago and am not really sure where they are from. They’re so pretty that I almost never want to wear them. The bottoms are designed with scenes from the original trilogy. Han, Luke, Leia, Yoda, and Vader all with a very Star Wars backdrop. The front of the shoes have Vader’s face stitched in yellow. Meanwhile the back has Star and Wars written on each heel in a brilliant and iconic Star Wars yellow that stands out on the black background. The glitter of the shoes looks like stars against the backdrop of space, much like the opening crawl.

The heels are gold!

The glittery black reminds me of Dorothy’s iconic red slippers from The Wizard of Oz. But sadly, no matter how many times I tap my heels, I never get to that galaxy far, far away.

The fact that these shoes are flats and mostly black make them stand out in the best way while still holding a sense of subtleness that makes them perfect for geeky work wear!

May the Force Be With You

Cozy yet Geeky

To wrap it up, this outfit combined my favorite elements of Star Wars. Between my favorite scene, character, and quote, Star Wars is easily my biggest fandom and therefore means the most to me. I am so incredibly excited for the new things to come that I can barely contain myself.

Star Wars is exploding with content right now. With the newest release of Disney+ and The Mandalorian I truly feel “in my element” with Star Wars. If you’re watching the show, I wrote a blog post about the first episode and I did a reunion podcast with RoundTable PodRacers about the first two episodes and our thoughts! Check them out, and if you need someone to geek out with, I’m your gal!

Until then, may the force be with you all!

Looking out to the galaxy far, far away.
