Welcome to the third annual Geek Fashion Fix Challenge! We’re so thrilled to be back with our month long celebration of nerd fashion. Once again, Nina and Alice return as co-hosts with stylishly geeky prompts to last throughout July.

Week 1 (July 4-10): Spies

Alright you cool shade stunners, this week all about espionage and intrigue. With Black Widow FINALLY being released, you can pull inspo from her and other popular spies like Peggy Carter, Melinda May, James Bond, or franchises such as The Fast and the Furious, Kingsmen, Men in Black, and more. You can even be a Rebel spy from Star Wars!

Week 2 (July 11-17): Summer Camp

Roll call, campers! Week 2 is dedicated to the great outdoors, so you can get inspired by Gravity Falls, Up, Parks & Rec (Pawnee Goddesses), Moonrise Kingdom, and horror films like Midsommar and Friday the 13th. You can even kick it hella old school with Troop Beverly Hills and Salute Your Shorts!

Week 3 (July 18-24): SDCC Free-For-All

Indulge in any aspect of geek fashion or costuming that you want this week! Since San Diego Comic Con normally happens this time of year, we traditionally make this week a grab bag/free-for-all to allow for con attendees to easily participate with whatever they happen to be wearing. Cons are still on hold so feel free to use this week to show off your would-be convention fits or cosplays. Yes, we allow actual costumes for this week only.

Week 4 (July 25-31): PUNK

Punk never went away, but it’s also having a moment back in the spotlight. We challenge your to show us your best geeky punk-inspired looks! It can be a character styled in punk looks (Punk Princesses, anyone?) or one who actually is punk (e.g. Spider-Punk). You can also celebrate punk music because music is fandom, too.

Prizes:

Winners will be chosen at random at the end of the challenge to make sure a single person doesn’t win multiple times!

Rules:

  • Photos must be new and not previously posted on your account
  • Must follow @sartorialgeek on Instagram
  • Instagram account must be public to be eligible to win prizes
  • Must use #sgfashionfix for every outfit entry
  • Description of outfit must include who/what the look is based on
  • No cosplays unless it’s for week 3 of the challenge

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s posts! We hope you have fun, and don’t forget to stay safe!!
