The costumes in superhero movies are always fun. However, they are rarely outfits I look to for wardrobe envy and style inspiration. But, when Wonder Woman hit theaters two summers ago, everything changed. (And not just because DC finally got a good movie.) Wonder Woman was already a role model for girls everywhere. But Diana Prince quickly became a style icon.

Stylish In Every Era

While Diana Prince rightfully had a lot of questions about civilian fashion at first, she adapted quickly. It wasn’t long at all before she went from donning gold-plated armor to long coats in neutral colors. But, surprising no one, she still looked amazing and managed to find the perfect balance between a wardrobe that was both functional and stylish.

Clean & Simple

Diana’s looks seamlessly adapt to the times as decades pass, but she clearly never loses her appreciation for simpler pieces. Her modern-day streetwear consists of turtlenecks, sheath dresses, and easy, slicked-back hairstyles.

And who could possibly forget that scene when she strolls up to the Louvre in high heels and that burgundy poncho? She is the perfect picture of confidence, elegance, and all kinds of badassery.

That Blue Dress

Yeah, that one. You know the one.

Every so often, a movie scene becomes so iconic that people never seem to stop talking about it. That is exactly what happened when Diana attends a party on a mission of vengence. She sticks out like a sore thumb as is in such a bright color (but in the best way possible), and even more so with her sword not-so-discreetly tucked in the back of her dress. It’s a gorgeous, powerful scene, and one that surely will never be forgotten. There was a reason why the #WWGotYourBack social media trend went viral, after all.
