Jordandené didn’t set out to be an all-girl team, but we certainly aren’t complaining about. We did, however, intend to be an option for the most Sartorial Geeks around. While you probably associate us most with promoting nerd culture, we also strive to send our customers messages of positivity and girl power apparel that they can wear whenever.

Looking to add to your feminist-themed closet? Need a daily reminder of what a total badass babe you are? Look no further: Jordandené has got you covered.

NYCC fashion is… tricky. October weather in New York is unpredictable. If it’s warm outside, it’s usually freezing inside, and it’s always insanely humid, even if it’s only 70 degrees. All of that usually leaves part of me wanting to wear leggings, a tank, and a cardigan every day, especially when I have to work. The other part of me, though– the part that literally went to fashion school– never allows that.

So, I planned my con outfits carefully. I started watching the weather closely as far in advance as I could. I searched through the depths of my closet to ensure I wouldn’t have to go on yet another shopping spree, and I did pretty well. (Turned out I already owned everything except for a cardigan I needed to buy for the season anyway.) And finally, when the weekend came, I had four, perfectly planned-out outfits for NYCC. Here’s what I wore!

Note: Bad lighting brought to you by unpredictable weather!

‘Tis the season of crunchy leaves, cooler weather, and pumpkin picking. That’s right: October is finally here! You know what that means, don’t you? Well, if you said “HALLOWEEN!”, you’re technically correct. But do you know what else it means? Jordandené has released a spooky new shirt of the month!

2017 brought us a lot of terrible feelings but it was no surprise that Marvel was our saving grace. You know what I’m talking about, don’t you? Of course you do: Thor: Ragnarok! It had everything we didn’t expect but needed so badly from a Thor movie. A killer soundtrack! Cate Blanchett and Tessa Thompson looking gorgeous! Jeff Goldblum in eyeliner! Knee-slapping humor! Directed by Taika Waititi! Wait– directed by Taika Waititi and featuring a cameo by him as the lovable Korg! Could we have asked for anything better?

I know, I know: I’ve talked a lot about how amazing the Jordandené zipper pouches are. But, that’s only because I firmly believe that everyone needs at least one in their life. And, with New York Comic Con just around the corner, I wanted to share a little idea I’ve had for a while now: a mini con survival kit.

Whether you’re a cosplayer, seasoned convention-goer, or manning a booth like me, you definitely need to put together something like this. And what better way to do it with one of Jordandené’s zipper pouches?

Hi. I’m here to tell you to something we seriously have not been paying much attention to: geeky hats. Aside from the occasional superhero logo baseball cap, how often do you see them? I can answer that for you: not often enough. Luckily, in the spirit of putting our geek chic twist on as many products as possible, Jordandené is here to save the day with our collection of beanies, dad hats, and five-panel and flat bill caps.

If you don’t think you can pull off hats– geeky hats, specifically– I’m here to tell you that you’re wrong.

Sartorial Geeks, can you believe it’s already September?

With shorter days and cooler temperatures ahead, that can only mean one thing: Summer is nearly over. Some are starting a new semester, some returning from vacation, and some closing up their beach houses for the season. This can certainly be a bittersweet time of year… So, what better pick-me-up is there than a Jordandené Orphan Black shirt of the month?

“Geek chic” isn’t just a way of dressing anymore: it’s a lifestyle. Devoted fans live and breathe nerd culture nowadays. We travel all over for conventions, we permanently tattoo our bodies, we stay up for nights waiting both in and online for the smallest glimpse at the next big thing from our fandom. So, why wouldn’t we want to share our love of it all with pride in our homes? Why isn’t geeky home decor as common as it should be nowadays?

If you’re looking for subtle-but-adorable ways to add a touch of fandom to your home, look no further. Jordandené has you covered, with your favorite hand-lettered designs available in more than just shirts! Here are some easy ways to geek up your home with their products:

I cannot believe there was a point in my adult life that I’d completely forgotten about the convenience of zipper pouches. It wasn’t until I started working conventions and using them to transport money from registers that I realized I definitely should not have abandoned this concept after I left high school and needed a million to keep my life in order.

Jordandené just came out with their own version of the bag a few months ago and let me just say I’ve enjoyed every second of using mine. If you’re thinking of picking one up for yourself, here are some ideas on what to use it for!

Maybe it’s because the one and only Harry James Potter would have celebrated his 38th birthday on July 31st. Maybe it’s because this summer marked the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Maybe it’s because LeakyCon is right around the corner. Or, maybe it’s just because I associate the warm weather with sitting on the beach with one of the seven books. Whatever it is, there’s something about this season that makes me nostalgic for all things Harry Potter. This month, Jordandené is tapping into all of our wizarding world fashion dreams with a shirt of the month that can’t not remind us all the brightest witch of any and every age, Hermione Granger.

Wallets at the ready, Potterheads. You’re seriously going to need this one.

New month, new limited edition shirt by Jordandené.

If you’re new here, then perhaps you haven’t heard of Jordandené’s Shirt of the Month yet. Each month, they release a limited edition design available only for that month in their ultra-soft tees, tanks, and scoop necks. This month’s shirt is a tribute to none other than everyone’s favorite fashion designer, Edna Mode.
