If we have spoken for ten minutes or more, you know I’m a massive fan of Zodiac Starforce. ZS is a magical girl comic from creators Kevin Panetta and Paulina Ganucheau. Starring five incredible ladies, Zodiac Starforce deals with regular high school problems, cut with fighting monsters. It’s a lot. But this crew is up for it.

Back in the end of January, I bought a palette from BH Cosmetics called the Zodiac Palette. I justified buying this beautiful palette by the name. I don’t tend to follow my horoscope or overthink the moon’s position… But, I do love my magical gals. So I thought it’d be worth it. But, for the first couple months I had it, I didn’t make looks inspired by the ZS ladies. I did a Scorpio look (my sign). And a Taurus (Kim, my favorite Starforce cadet’s sign). I didn’t branch out much, though. Until now.

I started with Lily

Because she’s the newest addition to the ZS team. She’s sweet, and incredibly protective of her girl, Sav. I used Virgo’s matte shade as a base, Gemini’s matte on my crease, Leo’s metallic shade on my lid, Cancer’s metallic under my eye, and the included highlighter for this look.

I paired it with a pale pink collared tank top and a floral skirt. Because while Libra wears purple, Lily wears some pale pink. And I think it went well with her personality.

Next, I went with Molly.

Molly is a sassy, no nonsense lady. She’s tall, which I love. (And have in common with her). And she is not waiting to deal with anyone’s crap. Molly wears red in her cadet uniform, and looks pretty sultry in civilian clothes as well. So, I chose a red shirt that says “Men aren’t funny,” with a pair of plaid high waisted pants (I call them my “boss pants”), and nude pumps.

While I no longer have the bangs to emulate Molly’s hairstyle, I did my best to work a high pony. I used Sagittarius’ matte shade for my base, Scorpio’s matte for my crease Scorpio’s metallic for my lid, and Pisces’ matte under my eyes. I wanted to go a bit intense for the eyes, because I wanted to finish it with a simple lip. I felt this look really pushed the envelope, which seems to be Molly’s MO.

After that, I did Sav, who shares a lot of style similarities with me.

I chose my favorite black high waisted shorts, along with a black crop top, under a Bulbasaur button down tee, and a trucker cap.

I used Virgo’s matte shade for my base, Leo’s matte for my crease Pisces’ metallic shade for my lid, and Aries’ metallic for under my bottom lash, playing off of her Pisces uniform. I felt really comfortable in this look. I can actually see myself wearing this often.

Then, I wore a look inspired by Emma.

Emma is the leader of Zodiac Starforce. I wore a pair of overall shorts with a pink tank top and a visible harness bra. (To show off some of the darkness in Emma’s life).

I again used Virgo’s matte shade as a base, Leo’s matte on my crease, Leo’s metallic on my lid, Libra’s metallic shade under my eyes, and laid it on a bit thick with the highlighter. Because Gemini should have double the highlight. I really laid into the pink of her uniform (and hair). But I think it worked out.

Finally, I rocked the heck out of my Kim looks.

Kim is my absolute favorite character from this series. Because she is fiercely loyal, strong, and built more like me than any other character I’ve seen in comics. I do have two different outfits for this, because I have a full Kim cosplay! I switched it up a bit for this, rocking my Holy Musical B@man! purple tee, space shorts, and my new favorite Reebok Classics in pale pink.

For the makeup, I wore Leo’s matte shade as my base, Taurus’ matte in my crease, Leo’s metallic on my lid, and a little bit of Libra’s metallic shade under my eyes. While Kim isn’t shown as being ridiculously into makeup, I went a bit intense on this look anyways. Because she wants to be a pro-wrestler, and those folks are all about the show.

I had a blast figuring out these looks, both cosmetic and fashion wise. It was great to dress as some of my favorite gals, and push the envelope with my makeup. I think these looks are relatively work safe, and can be good for most occasions. I’m glad I made myself use my Zodiac palette. It really deserves the love!
