First, a huge thank you to all of the fantastic writers who participated in our first Short Fiction Writing Challenge! All of the stories that we read were the perfect thing to curl up with on a chilly day. We hope that you all enjoyed the challenge and are hopeful that we’ll have even more stories to read during our next challenge.

As a quick reminder, the theme was New Year, New Look and, while there were no genre requirements, we did ask that each writer incorporate either a mannequin, a cup of hot chocolate, fireworks, or a needle and thread into their story. Now without further ado, here are the winners of the Short Fiction Challenge!

Third Place

“Something Worth Doing: A Story of Hope” by Katherine Hartford

Second Place

“Rehan Needs Some New Thread” by Divyansha Sehgal

First Place

“White Sweater” by Diana Gray

We are so excited to share these amazing stories with you all! Both Katherine and Divyansha’s short fiction will be featured on the The Sartorial Geek blog in the weeks to come, and please keep an eye out for Diana’s story in an upcoming issue of the The Sartorial Geek magazine.

Until next time, happy writing!
