We truly are in the golden age of geek fashion.

It’s hard to believe there was a time that the only way to really express your fandom in your everyday wardrobe was with a cheap logo-printed t-shirt. As modern geeks, we hardly had to live through that time. And now, it’s easier than ever to seamlessly and stylishly incorporate your fandom into your wardrobe.

There are a ton of awesome collaborations that have dropped recently that prove my point. Here are a few of my favorite finds from this month:

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what, exactly, makes someone a “style icon”. I usually just go off of someone with a covetable closet and a unique sense of fashion that can tell far more about them than anyone would think. But, you know what else all of these characters have in common? Their wardrobes are seemingly endless and you sure as hell don’t see them recycle an outfit, let alone a pair of jeans. This week, that pattern shifted. It only took one episode of Netflix’s Love to deem Mickey Dobbs (Gillian Jacobs) my new style obsession and at that momentI didn’t even realize I was breaking the cycle.

This week’s fictional style icon comes to you straight from binging the first two seasons of HBO’s Insecure in one sitting.

Yes, I’m jumping on the bandwagon way late. And all I can say is that I’m kicking myself for not tuning in earlier because Issa Dee is my everything.

Issa Rae was already goals to begin with in every way, shape, and form. From her killer red carpet style to teeth perfect enough to distract me episodes at a time (seriously, how did they get like that? This girl’s smile puts the Orbit gum lady to shame). Her fictional counterpart, Issa Dee, also dressed by her real-life, stylist, is no different.

Yes, before you ask: this is a Black Panther blog now. (I’m only half-joking, but if you’ve been keeping track of our posts these last few weeks, you’d probably believe me, right?)

I shouldn’t have to tell you that since it’s release, Marvel Studios’ Black Panther has taken the world by storm. Theaters have sold out all around the world, filled to the brim with some of the most amazing outfits any of us have ever seen. The #BlackPantherChallenge has raised over $700k for kids in 50 different countries to see the film. Strangers all across Twitter have even bought tickets for each other.

Have you ever seen a makeup collection or palette that you’re not entirely sure you’ll ever use, but you just need to get your hands on it anyway? That’s exactly how I felt when I saw The Marauders, Mugwumps, and Muggles Collection. It’s a collection of Harry Potter-inspired eyeshadows and lip tints by Shiro Cosmetics. The collection in its entirety includes twenty shades of loose powder eyeshadows, three different lip tints, and two different “Chocolate Frog” face powders.

Among dystopian worlds and timelines that show the evils of modern technology, Black Mirror’s “San Junipero” stands alone.

While every other Black Mirror episode left me crippled with fear and anxiety as I shied away from my cell phone and obsessively covered my webcam, “San Junipero” left me in tears. Gorgeous, wonderful, happy-tears. I remember my roommate at the time passing through the living room and shooting me a weird look, to which I pointed at the TV and screamed, “IT’S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL!

Too scared for the rest of Black Mirror? Just watch “San Junipero” and skip the rest. It’s not only the series’ happiest episode, but it’s also it’s most stylish.

Team Jordandenè has been struggling to keep this awesome news quiet for weeks now. A little while back, we got to hang out at the coolest photo shoot ever: RockLove Jewelry for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, modeled by our friend Robyn of Geek Girl Strong. Their modern take on a strong, fierce Wakandan warrior woman made for an awesome fitness-inspired photoshoot.

RockLove & Marvel officially released the collection on Tuesday. And it’s so full of T’Challa-inspired goodness, we had to share it with you all here, too.
