Welcome to another edition of the Podcast Sommelier! I’m Ashley and I’m the co-host of The Kindred Spirit podcast, which is available on the podcaster of your choice. On The Kindred Spirit, we explore history, one drink at a time. (Sneak peak – our next few episodes are going to be about beer!) But here I recommend a new podcast and a wonderful libation for you to consume, while enjoying that podcast.

This is one I’ve been wanting to recommend for a while since they have a graphic novel coming out this week and I’m going to the New York show during their book tour! So it seemed like the perfect time to recommend this podcast. This time I’m recommending two starting points but really this is a long haul podcast. Plan your road trips, cross country flights, boring classes now and it’s time…….for……THE ADVENTURE ZONE!!!!

You may recognize Ashley Warren from a few places. If you’ve been to any of our Sartorial Geek events, she’s the person making sure everything runs smoothly and actually happens. You may also know her from her podcast, The Kindred Spirit Podcast. Or, if you hang around sartorialgeek.com, you’ve probably seen Ashley’s column “Podcast Sommelier,” where she combines a podcast with a cocktail.

Welcome back to a special edition of the Podcast Sommelier! I’m Ashley, and I usually talk about the history of cocktails on my podcast The Kindred Spirit, which is available on the podcast app of your choice. But this evening I will be recommending a podcast and cocktail for you to enjoy. If you do make this cocktail or drink any cocktails, post a photo with the hashtag #KindredSips for a chance to be featured on our Instagram or Twitter.

Those who know me might say that I’m a little true-crime obsessed. I’ve listened to your Serials, Casefiles, Someone Knows SomethingLast Podcast on the Left, etc. But the podcast that started me down the true crime rabbit hole is My Favorite Murder!

Welcome to another edition of the Podcast Sommelier! I’m Ashley and I’m usually found co-hosting The Kindred Spirit podcast, which is available on the podcaster of your choice. On The Kindred Spirit, we explore history, one drink at a time. (Sneak peak – our next few episodes are going to be about rum!) Since I’ve been a bit busy moving my office to a new location and just general job woes, I wanted to recommend something that I’ve been really enjoying and has put me in a good mood. So this month I’m recommending Wonderful! which is the perfect podcast when you are just in a funk and need to listen to people who are genuinely nice and actually care a lot about each other discussing things they are excited about.

Welcome to the first edition of the Podcast Sommelier! I’m Ashley, co-host of The Kindred Spirit Podcast, where we explore history one drink at a time. As your Podcast Sommelier, I’ll be recommending you a new podcast, recommending which episode to start with, and pairing it with a cocktail you can drink while listening to it.

This month’s recommendation is Thirst Aid Kit! Thirst Aid Kit is a Buzzfeed Podcast hosted by Nichole Perkins and Bim Adewunmi. Every Thursday…get it…Thirsty Thursday, Nichole & Bim pick a topic to thirst about. Some past topics include “John Cho for President” “The Great British Bae Off” and “Mahershala, In Yellow,” all standout episodes that you can find here. They just ended their first season with “Chris Evans (feat. Chris Evans),” which is the only way one can end a season. And yes, Chris Evans does come on to talk about the beard.
