Splurge on skincare in the name of self-care, they said. It’ll be fun, they said. (Okay, well, it is fun but also really, really dangerous for my wallet.)

Last year, skincare powerhouse GlamGlow teamed up with the recently revamped Power Rangers film for an exclusive line of their best-selling GravityMud masks in colors inspired by its villains. And thus, the GlamGlow Power Rangers GravityMud was born.

Through our Cosmetic Corner segment, I think it’s safe to say I’ve made one thing very clear: I really, really love makeup.

Obviously, I’m no Instagram-make-up-artist-level expert. BUT! I’m perfectly comfortable with that. It’s just fun— to play, to experiment, and to splurge in the name of self-care. (Thank god we have that as an excuse now to rationalize buyer’s remorse, right?)

Well, recently, I found my new favorite place to do that: Besame Cosmetics.

There is so much to love about Catastrophe, from the irreverent chemistry between co-stars and co-creators Rob Delaney (yes, that guy from Twitter) and Sharon Horgan, to the truly cynical take on the modern rom-com. The unsung hero among all of this is the wardrobe that so perfectly matches the messy, acerbic leading lady that comes with it. This week’s style icon is none other than Sharon Morris.

We truly are in the golden age of geek fashion.

It’s hard to believe there was a time that the only way to really express your fandom in your everyday wardrobe was with a cheap logo-printed t-shirt. As modern geeks, we hardly had to live through that time. And now, it’s easier than ever to seamlessly and stylishly incorporate your fandom into your wardrobe.

There are a ton of awesome collaborations that have dropped recently that prove my point. Here are a few of my favorite finds from this month:

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what, exactly, makes someone a “style icon”. I usually just go off of someone with a covetable closet and a unique sense of fashion that can tell far more about them than anyone would think. But, you know what else all of these characters have in common? Their wardrobes are seemingly endless and you sure as hell don’t see them recycle an outfit, let alone a pair of jeans. This week, that pattern shifted. It only took one episode of Netflix’s Love to deem Mickey Dobbs (Gillian Jacobs) my new style obsession and at that momentI didn’t even realize I was breaking the cycle.

This week’s fictional style icon comes to you straight from binging the first two seasons of HBO’s Insecure in one sitting.

Yes, I’m jumping on the bandwagon way late. And all I can say is that I’m kicking myself for not tuning in earlier because Issa Dee is my everything.

Issa Rae was already goals to begin with in every way, shape, and form. From her killer red carpet style to teeth perfect enough to distract me episodes at a time (seriously, how did they get like that? This girl’s smile puts the Orbit gum lady to shame). Her fictional counterpart, Issa Dee, also dressed by her real-life, stylist, is no different.

Yes, before you ask: this is a Black Panther blog now. (I’m only half-joking, but if you’ve been keeping track of our posts these last few weeks, you’d probably believe me, right?)

I shouldn’t have to tell you that since it’s release, Marvel Studios’ Black Panther has taken the world by storm. Theaters have sold out all around the world, filled to the brim with some of the most amazing outfits any of us have ever seen. The #BlackPantherChallenge has raised over $700k for kids in 50 different countries to see the film. Strangers all across Twitter have even bought tickets for each other.
