Did you pick up Issue One of The Sartorial Geek Magazine yet? Then you saw one of Taylor Deatherage’s companies, Logan Arch.

Taylor and her husband Justin paired their love of geekery and nostalgia with a modern twist. Together, they created the line of super cute apparel and accessories at Logan Arch.

Taylor also helps run the one of the largest Doctor Who convention in America, Chicago Tardis. Doctor Who fans, check this out.

If you listened to Episode 006 of The Sartorial Geek Podcast, you know that our guest Joey Ellis is a big big fan of Batman, particularly the Batman animated movies.

For those of us who have a hard time moving past the fact that not everything animated is for kids (or who haven’t kept up with every piece of Batman news for the past 30 years), here’s a list of our designer’s favorite movies:

Wakanda Forever

There’s so much to talk about in Black Panther, and I was so excited to chat all things Black Panther love with Robyn Warren of Geek Girl Strong and Chavon Coleman of Geeky and Creepy.

Since seeing Black Panther together opening night (along with Robyn’s mom and Chavon’s nephew), we haven’t really been able to stop talking about it. There’s just so much to say about the story and the characters and the way everything looks, and each viewing makes you notice something new.

Nerd makeup, it’s a thing!

During our trip to Seattle for Emerald City Comic Con, we got to visit Espionage Cosmetics HQ and sit down with their owner and Glitter Jedi, Jaimie Cordero, to chat all things nerd makeup.

One of the first things Jaimie says about Espionage Cosmetics is that it isn’t quite the business she expected to have, because it’s so much bigger and so much better. Espionage’s first product line (The Browncoats Collection) came about as a response to the devastating news that Firefly actually only has one season. It sold out at its first con and has since exploded into the glittery empire it is today.

Welcome to The Sartorial Geek!

The latest project from Team Jordandené is a geeky lifestyle magazine (that you can get for free at sartorialgeek.com). This obviously seemed like the perfect time to start an accompanying podcast. Our hope with The Sartorial Geek is to tell cool stories from cool people in the geeky community. We want a place to chat about important themes in the latest MCU release and then nerd out over our new favorite geeky fashion brand. A place to show unique points of view and discuss what we’re concerned and excited about.
