We’re back with our favorite playwright Matt Cox!
You may remember Matt from our episode last year about writing Puffs, or from our SDCC virtual panel this year, or from his article in Issue 004 of The Sartorial Geek Magazine. We love Matt and his creative projects, and we’re so excited to chat this week about his latest quarantine endeavor: Guy Choiceman Decides to Save America! The Chooseical: Where You Do the Chooses.
As you may have noticed, 2020 has not been kind to the theater community. Instead of seeing Kapow-i GoGo on stage, Matt and his creative team have been finding new ways to bring their stories to life.
The great news is that now, even if you aren’t near NYC, you can see many of Matt’s plays online! Puffs is still available for purchase on platforms like Amazon and iTunes. The first two episodes of Kapow-i GoGo, along with many other fun readings, can be seen at The Ultra Corporation. And now, you can buy $5 tickets for a choose your own adventure show: Guy Choiceman Decides to Save America!
My favorite thing about Guy Choiceman is that the show really is different each time you watch. Right now there are 28 endings, and you get to “play” with three different lives, or Guys, each time you watch. You can do some really wild things, unlock side quests, and choose to save America.
Head to Matt Cox Land to get tickets now, and let us know which ending was your favorite!
Special thanks to our editor + music composer Dan Ison and our executive producers for this episode Geeklery, LoganArch and Karen Hallion.
