I’m gonna be totally honest with you: I never really “got” the ugly Christmas sweater trend at first. There is only a certain level of campiness I can tolerate when it comes to my wardrobe and most of it is used up on geeky stuff. But, then geeky Christmas sweaters came along.

And they were actually cute— not legitimately ugly!A parody on the traditional ugly Christmas sweater, if you will. Surprising no one, the nerds of the world just made everything better.

So, if you’re still in the market for a sweater that will flaunt your fandom this holiday season, look no more! Here are a few of my favorites this year:

Web of the Spider-Man Knit Sweater

ThinkGeek, $32.99

This ThinkGeek exclusive is the perfect balance of festive and subtly nerdy. What looks like a candy cane-colored top with hanging ornaments at first is actually covered in webs and Spidey goodness! Seriously, can it get any more fun than that?

Captain America: Red White And Blue Knitted Christmas Jumper

Captain America: Red White And Blue Knitted Christmas Jumper
Merchoid, $46.82

Whether you’re in Brooklyn or Avengers Tower, the holidays in New York are bitterly cold. This loyal, lovable sweater promises be your best bud through thick and thin… and will keep you warm till the end of the line.

Bob’s Burgers Tina Butts Holiday Sweater

LargeImages
BoxLunch, $47.92

Unicorns. Butts. Maybe a zombie boyfriend. While your Christmas list doesn’t necessarily have to be in that order, Tina Belcher is here to help you prioritize. This BoxLunch exclusive is sure to be the talk of any and all of your ugly sweater parties this season.

King George Sweater

King George Sweater
Elhoffer Design, $90.00

I wouldn’t even jokingly call this Elhoffer knit sweater “ugly”– not even jokingly. This Hamilton-inspired piece features an intricate knit design, a rolled neckline, and thumbholes in the sleeves for advanced coziness. My favorite thing about it is though it has the “look” of a holiday sweater, the design can still be worn until the weather finally warms up again!

Did you buy a geeky holiday sweater for the season? Tell me all about it in the comments!
