I tend to go slightly overboard when it comes to movie premieres. If I’m not in full cosplay, I definitely geek bound to the max and make sure my makeup is inspired by the movie I’m going to see. Obviously, I was going to go all out for The Rise of Skywalker. I knew I was wearing my Galactic Commander dress from Elhoffer Designs, but what was I going to do with my makeup? Clearly, the answer was R2D2 inspired makeup. I love all the Star Wars droids (I relate to D-O so hard), but R2 is always going to be my favourite.

  1. After prepping my skin with primer and liquid highlighter (which will go under my foundation for extra shimmer), I did my brows and started on my eyes. I started with a silver base on my lid, the inner corner of my eye, and on my lower lash line.

  1. Then I added metallic blue into my crease and blended well, sweeping some on the lower lash line as well.

  1. I added a slightly darker metallic blue into the crease as well and fully lined my lower lashes.

  1. After foundation and concealer, I contoured my cheeks using the same silver I used as the base for my eyelids, making sure to blend it out so it was really subtle. I then added highlighter to my cheekbones and along the bridge of my nose.

This was such a fun look to do, and I definitely got compliments on both my makeup and my dress.
