Of the two editors at The Sartorial Geek, I (Jordan) have proven that I’m not the big reader of the group. I’ve actually never looked at a literary journal in my life, but I heard about F(r)iction at BookCon this year, and I’m actually super into it.

Dani Hedlund is the CEO behind Brink Literacy Project, which is a non-profit dedicated to helping creatives reach their potential. They do all kinds of amazing work to foster a love of literacy, increase literacy rates, and help new creators succeed in the publishing industry. As a former education student, this kind of organization is right up my alley.

F(r)iction is a triannual collection of literature and art, and it’s beautiful. The stories are actually allowed to be exciting and weird and fictional and super different than what you’d expect to see in a traditional literary journal. It’s also gorgeously designed from cover to cover and is filled with beautiful illustrations and art.
