All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey (at least for those of us not living on the West Coast). But you know what that means — it’s time for Sartorial Geek’s Fall Fashion Fix Challenge! This challenge will mark 2 complete years of doing these seasonal challenges — can you believe?! We’ve got Alice and Nina back on co-hosting duties, and they’ve come up with some fab themes to show off your Fall style. And don’t worry, we’ve got you Spooky season enthusiasts covered too!

If you’ve been wanting to join in on the fun, this is the perfect time to jump in 🙂

Day 1: Face Maskquerade

We’re kicking things off with a MASKquerade! As face masks have become the accessory of 2020 (by necessity), we thought it would be fun for everyone to show off their fave reusable masks. Casual cosplays of masked heroes/vigilantes/villains like Silk, the Winter Soldier, Bane, and other characters are welcomed!

Day 2: Shelfie

Got a cool shelf full of spooky books and decor for Halloween? A shelf with cool knick-knacks? Or one filled with your favorite books of all time? Whatever kind of shelf you have, we wanna see it! So take a shelfie 🙂

Day 3: Sweater Weather

Some say it’s the most wonderful time of the year because Halloween is around the corner. While that’s true, we’re fans of Fall because that means sweater weather! From cable knits a la Ransom Riggs in Knives Out, to fun novelty prints, cool graphics, or holiday sweaters, we love them all. You can also draw inspo from sweater clad characters like Velma from Scooby Doo, David from Schitt’s Creek, Freddy Kreuger, and even Mister Rogers to name a few.

Day 4: Villains

It is a truth universally known that villains always have the best style. Therefore, it’s only right to have a day dedicated to them, wouldn’t you agree? Draw inspo from the baddies of Gotham’s Rogue Gallery, Disney villains, the entire Darkside from Star Wars, or even unassuming ones like The Plastics from Mean Girls!

Day 5: Mythology

We settled on this theme after seeing how much everyone loves myth and folklore. We see you all reading LORE Olympus and playing Hades! Plus, October is a time when magic is in the air, when the unwary may be tempted away by goblin fruit. Whether you want to show off what you’d wear in a faerie court or your regular Baba Yaga-esque fit, we welcome it.

Day 6: Cottagecore

With everyone stuck at home, it’s no wonder the aesthetic of “cottagecore” became so popular! So what is your ideal countryside getaway wardrobe? If you’re not sure, there are plenty of geeky fandoms to inspire you. From the idyllic adventures of Anne of Green Gables to the cute and colorful e-getaways of Animal Crossing, cottagecore really can be found anywhere!

Day 7: Happy Halloween!

This one is self-explanatory. Halloween is different this year for all of us, so we wanted to give you the opportunity to wear your costume and show it off. Elaborate, obscure, casual, or popular, we want to see it all. Let’s celebrate Halloween together (but apart)!
