Today we’re chatting with a brand new geeky company about their brand new Kickstarter: Nicole Harris from Wic Candle Company!

Wic Candle Company makes handmade soy-coconut candles poured in cement vessels that are designed to live on as planters.

Their cement mold was custom made by Level Up Your Fandom and, beyond being a lovely vessel for our candles, it was specifically designed to live on as a planter. The container has a temp safe plug in the bottom so it can be removed post-burn to allow for proper drainage and the lid fits nicely underneath to catch any of said drainage. Due to the handmade nature of the vessels, each one will be unique.

Wic Candle Co is also working with small artists to design the art for each collection– their first featured artist is Allie Nasr (who you may remember from Episode 088)!

The idea for their debut collection, The Goddess Collection, grew out of Nicole’s first fandom, mythology, and highlights four powerful goddesses:

  • The Greek goddesses Persephone (cedar wood, pomegranate musk blend) and Artemis (jasmine, bergamont, leather blend)
  • The Norse goddess Freyja (pink peony, argarwood, oud blend)
  • The Egyptian goddess Bastet (sage, cypress, citrus blend)

To get your hands on these amazing candle/planters, be sure to back the Kickstarter before June 5!
