Welcome to the second annual Geek Fashion Fix Challenge! We’re so thrilled to be back with our month long summer extravaganza!! Once again, Nina and Alice return as co-hosts with stylishly geeky prompts to last throughout July.
We can’t thank everyone enough for helping to make the Geek Fashion Fix Challenge become a staple here at Sartorial Geek. With each challenge we’ve done up to this point, it’s become something we look forward to planning for everyone. So your enthusiasm and killer ~lewks~ are very much appreciated! And if you’re new to the challenge, welcome!
Week 1 (July 1-5): Rise Up!
Rise up, it’s time to take a shot!
With Disney+ releasing Hamilton this week, what better way to start off our challenge than with a band of rebels? Whether it’s Hamilton and co., the rebel scum from Star Wars, Hunger Games, the Avengers, X-Men, Avatar: The Last Airbender, or Dumbledore’s Army to name a few, we want to see your casual cosplays and looks inspired by those who fight for their rights.
Week 2 (July 6-12): Ready Player 1
Power up with looks inspired by your favorite games! Nintendo classics like Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, your fave Pokemon, or board games like Clue, Monopoly, or your Dungeons & Dragons avatar just to name a few can be your source of inspo.
We’re also planning another Animal Crossing: New Horizons event, so be sure to stay tuned for deets on Instagram and Discord!
Week 3 (July 13-20): Summer Reading
What’s on your summer reading list? Share what you’re currently reading or your all-time favorites with looks inspired by book covers or beloved literary characters, or creative bookstagram pics.
Week 4 (July 21-27): Missed CONnections
Did you have any special outfits or cosplays planned for past or upcoming cons that were cancelled? Now’s the time to show them off! This week is dedicated to all the cons we’re missing out on this year, like SDCC, which would’ve been going on this week. I mean… *sniffle*…it’s, it’s fine. *wipes away tears*
Week 5 (July 28-31): Wanderlust
Summer has us dreaming of far off places, but unfortunately… well, you know why we can’t go anywhere. But what would you wear if you were going to travel through space and time on the TARDIS as the Doctor’s companion? On an adventure outside of the Shire? Hiking on Endor? We’d love to see your travel outfits to fictional destinations!
Prizes:
Winners will be chosen at random at the end of the challenge to make sure a single person doesn’t win multiple times!
Rules:
- Photos must be new and not previously posted on your account
- Must follow @sartorialgeek on Instagram
- Instagram account must be public to be eligible to win prizes
- Must use #sgfashionfix for every outfit posted
- Description of outfit must include who/what the look is based on
- No cosplays unless it’s for week 4 of the challenge

I’m so excited for this! And really interested/excited for the weekly formating instead of the daily! I cannot wait to create all the looks and see everyone elses! As always, thank you for hosting these MUCH needed fashion fixes!
