This year has been a whole dang decade.

Are you okay? I’m exhausted. But you know what was good this year?

My makeup.

Here are 5 of my favorite products from the year!

1. ELF Intense Ink Eyeliner

5 Beauty Faves of 2020

For the longest time, I used Kat Von D’s liquid liner. I loved the felt tip, smooth application, and knowing that it was cruelty free. But when she released that she wasn’t interested in vaccinating her child, I realized that I wasn’t interested in supporting her anymore.

So I went on the hunt for a new black liquid liner. I had a bad experience with ELF in the past (got severe lip sores from a product of theirs), but they are a drugstore brand that is known for being cruelty-free, so I figured I would try out their Intense Ink Eyeliner.

And I fell in love! This liner is less than $5, lasts me over a month, and is cruelty-free! It has everything the KVD one does, other than the guilt and price tag. I love it, and I suggest you check your local grocery or drug store for some!

I believe it was my favorite Beau-tuber, Alexandria Ryan who said that eyeliner and mascara should NOT cost more than $10. So I do recommend checking out drugstore brands for those items when you’re out of whatever you’re using.

2. ORG Face Peel

Heading in a complete different direction price wise, let’s talk about this face peel. I reviewed it earlier this year, after I had used my whole bottle. I love this stuff. Now that winter has hit, I’m ordering another bottle.

It’s lovely, and by getting rid of my dead skin it helps me get a truly deep clean. It’s $36 right now (it normally costs $44), so it’s a bit more of a splurge item. But I really loved using it!

And since it isn’t a daily product, it lasts quite a long time. If you’re looking to grab some, head to this link and check it out!

3. Suva Dyecuts

5 Beauty Faves of 2020

I know I only used them for a week, and I just was raving about them, but I legitimately loved them so much! I feel like long nails elevate both my look and mood, so these are a great choice for me. At $12, they’re kind of a steal!

If you enjoy long nails, I think you should check these out. Plus the brand is cruelty-free and has so many cute styles! I’m just not sure if I want Salty or Hundo P more. Check them all out here!

4. Z Palette

As we all know, I have a lot of makeup. One of the big things I did this year was de-pot most of my eyeshadows to put them in a big ol’ Z Palette! The one that I purchased is from Colored Raine a black-owned, cruelty-free brand!

This bad boy has room for 96 dang eyeshadows, so most of us will be set with it. Mine’s a bit of a mess because I use it daily. The only slight issue I have is that it’s kind of hard to travel with. But in 2020, that’s not a real issue.

If you like having your eyeshadow all in one place, check this out!

5. ColourPop x Safiya Nygaard Lipsticks

5 Beauty Faves of 2020

I know that these lipsticks came out in 2019, but they have been my go-to for the whole year. I own Screamer & Mrs. Norris, and they’re both perfect. Screamer is the perfect red for my skin tone. And Mrs. Norris is a beautiful dark nude. Regrettably, the collection is no longer on sale. But ColourPop has a lovely formula, so I would recommend any of their lipsticks!

I love makeup. I’ve been working hard to use more of my items, and buy fewer. I’m excited for finding some new favorites, and enjoying old favorites. 2020 has been a whirlwind of a year, and we deserve to celebrate the things that felt good this year.

Comment the best thing about your 2020! Here’s to more wins in 2021.
