Thursday TV Picks: 2019 Series

I do a pretty good job keeping up with movies, but TV is definitely my speciality. For this week’s Thursday Movie Picks, we’re chatting favorite new television series of 2019. Let’s go.

The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian was hands-down my favorite new series last year. In fact, t may be one of the most enjoyable TV shows I’ve ever watched. I especially appreciated the moments that Taika Waititi was responsible for and the hot dad / adorable baby dynamic we got with Mando and The Child.

The Witcher

I wasn’t sure if I’d love The Witcher and, after seeing it, I’m still not sure if I loved it. But I had fun watching it, and I can’t stop thinking about it, so that’s definitely say something. I might even attempt a video game (which I don’t really do) because I just want more. Bravo, Netflix.

Russian Doll

Another win for Netflix was Russian Doll. On paper, this show is everything I tend to hate. Drugs and time loops aren’t normally my thing, but Russian Doll really worked for me. Maybe I owe that to the genius that is Natasha Lyonne.
