This is a book that I got as a Goodreads giveaway, and it wasn’t what I expected. Clocking in at just 255 pages, this is a relatively quick read, that chronicles part of Martin’s life.
I thought this was a middle grade book about going into high school, but it is definitely not; it’s an adult fiction book. This book follows Martin from Grade School, to Middle School, all the way to college entrance interviews. We see him grow and change, and learn different dynamics.
I wasn’t sure about The Martin Chronicles at first, but it quickly sucked me in. I became invested in Martin almost immediately, and was fascinated by his growth. I found the time when his age changed to be without fluff; one chapter he was thirteen, the next fifteen.
Though the time was a bit jarring, it was still an incredible book. I really enjoyed watching Martin grow and learn, and I feel like I got to know him so well. I think this is a good book, but as I haven’t read anything like it, I don’t know who to recommend it to.
