Talk Nerdy to Me: Favorite Disney Movies

I grew up on animated Disney movies. Choosing just five favorites was tricky (because let’s be honest, they’re all the best), but these have a special place in my heart.

1) Robin Hood

We’ve already established the weirdo crush I had (and will have forever) on Robin Hood the fox. Watching it as an adult, there was a lot I didn’t understand as a kid (like taxes? that part did not hit home in elementary school), but I’ve probably seen it six thousand times. RH + MM forever.

2) Aladdin

Following the trend of movies I likely only watched because I was in love: Aladdin. The jealousy I felt for Princess Jasmine (she gets Aladdin AND that body AND a tiger?!) was almost too much.

3) Snow White

I don’t know if Snow White is actually my favorite, but it was the very first movie I ever saw in theaters, so it holds a special honor.

5) Beauty and the Beast

Even though I was mad scared of the wolves in the forest as a kid, Beauty and the Beast remains one of my favorite movies. I probably sang these songs more than anything else growing up, and they’re still stuck in my head all the time. What a magical, magical film.
