Fans have been waiting with bated breath for the return of the final episodes of Shadowhunters. Now that the team is back, they are ready to make their mark on television one last time. The episode started off with an amazing fight sequence. It was then filled with emotional tributes to Clary, love, and brotherhood, and ended with, of course, a cliffhanger.
Lonely Luke
While all of the performances were amazing as usual, Isaiah’s performance of Luke definitely took the spotlight in the episode. He portrayed the broken-hearted father in the most honest way imaginable.
The Magnificent Magnus
Another key scene was when Iris infiltrated Magnus’ memories. We got to see the bloody, brutal past that has traumatized him throughout his immortal life. Watching Harry Shum Jr. portray a powerless warlock who is still desperate to help the shadow world is beautiful and sad all at the same time. It is, of course, no shock that the best performances come from Harry Shum Jr. and Isaiah Mustafa. They have been giving stellar performances from the very beginning of the series.
#SaveShadowhunters
With a great start, fans are eager to see more. Although, it is terribly sad knowing that we are counting down the final episodes until Shadowhunters is over. We can only hope that Netflix picks up the show to give us what we deserve. Fans are not ready to let the show go, and with good reason. They are desperate for the representation it gives and the magic that it provides to its viewers.
