We know that I have a couple serious addictions: beauty products, books, and Disney. This soap checks off the first two wonderfully, and we need to talk about it.

I got this Gillespie’s Soap Bar from a Beacon Book Box that was themed around the 5 Dark Fates. When I first opened the box, I could smell something so warm and delightful, I was blown away. It was this soap!

This bar of soap looks relatively plain; it is a sepia toned brick of soap. But the scent is obscenely delightful. It smells like cloves and almonds, warmth and comfort. While I don’t think it smells exactly like a bookshop, it does make me just want to curl up with a book.

Another incredible thing about this Bookshop Soap is that it lasted quite a long time. I usually go through liquid soap very quickly, but bar soap doesn’t tend to last more than a month or so for me. This lasted me over 2 months, and that is wild! So I had the pleasure of starting my day with this lovely soap for quite a while.

I think the only thing that even remotely bothered me about this soap was the way that it looked. It was plain, which isn’t an issue, but it was also the same exact color as fake lunch meat I’ve eaten. Every dang day I used this, before I got to smell it, I thought about fake meat. And that’s weird.

That being said, I still really love it. While I’m pretty dang full on soap for now (when I tell you there are at least 6 bars of soap waiting for me, I wish I was exaggerating), this is a soap I would purchase again. While I can’t find the shop on it’s own, you can order it from the Beacon Book Box Shop! I think it is well worth the strange color!

What are some beauty products that make you feel cozy and ready for a good book?
