The Team Behind The Sartorial Geek

Meet Jordan and Liz, the editorial team behind The Sartorial Geek: a nerdy publication highlighting cool stories by cool people.

Jordan Ellis runs Jordandene, a geeky home goods and apparel brand. Liz, a law librarian in her muggle life, is our resident creative literary genius.

This team of college besties actually makes the perfect pair to produce this geeky editorial project. Both homeschooled as kids, Jordan and Liz grew up as big nerds, just in slightly different ways. Jordan played Pokemon and watched all the TV shows while Liz spent every spare second reading. Not much has changed in the past twenty years: Jordan has seen every episode of Game of Thrones ten times (with no intention of stopping the re-watch marathons any time soon), and Liz has fully read and analyzed each of the books in the series.

The Sartorial Geek: Letter from the Editors

As a little inside scoop into Issue One of The Sartorial Geek magazine, the book we photographed for Liz’s article about Jane Eyre is actually a will-you-be-my-bridesmaid gift from her to Jordan for her upcoming wedding later this year. It also perfectly sums up our main purpose in making this magazine: showcasing strong female characters, in all of their versions.

We also share a sneak peek of the theme of our summer issue and what we’re hoping that collection will look like (hint: it should be pretty cool).
