Avengers: Infinity War is arguably the movie event of the year. For many female fans like myself, this movie has been especially long awaited. Jessica Jones stands in the forefront of my mind when it comes to favorite heroines from the Marvel Universe. She is far from perfect; her closet has a few skeletons, she doesn’t shy away from the gritty details or getting her hands dirty when there is work to be done, and she is full of believable humanity. She tells it like it is and I admire her for her brutal honesty —even if she does occasionally hide behind a bottle, but let’s face it… everyone has a coping mechanism some way or another.
