They’re Younger…but are they wiser?
Woohoo, Younger is coming back on June 5! If you haven’t yet tuned into this flirty, fashionable tale of pretty publishing people, there’s still time to get your binge on. If you’re all caught up but just need a refresher, here’s what you need to know before diving into Season 5 (Season 4 spoilers ahead):
A Sham(rock) Wedding
The last time we saw Josh and Liza, they were in Ireland for Josh’s wedding to Clare. At first, Liza is there because she thinks she and Josh are really trying to do the whole friends thing. She later finds out that she’s been invited so she can validate the marriage with immigration officials upon the happy couple’s return to the U.S. Hmmm… Does that mean she didn’t have to get them a gift?

At the end of Season 4, we are no closer to knowing who Liza wants to be with. Will that kiss from Josh the night before his wedding reignite Liza’s passion for him? (Even though he marries Clare the next day, saying he has to put a ring between he and Liza?) Will Liza find a way to move things along with Charles? Despite the fact that a) he is her boss, b) he doesn’t know her true age, and c) she is LOVING editing his ex-wife’s book? For the record, I am #TeamCharles all the way…
Diana Trout, Queen of Everything
Not only does the statement-necklace-wearing diva ditch her man because she figured out (by colluding with his ex-wife) that he was manipulating her, but she also chides Liza for her “boy chasing” and tells her that men are nothing but distractions. Seriously, I am hoping for a lot more Trout time in Season 5. Don’t let me down, Darren Star!
Maggie being Maggie
She sleeps with the mother of the bride after getting stuck in a peat bog. Classic. The more I think about it, the more I would totally be on board for a Maggie/Diana spinoff. I’ll just be over here working on a name and a pitch for the show…
Kelsey and Zane
Yeah, I don’t have much to say here. As much as I think Zane is a cutie who knows how to wear a suit, I am NOT having his nonsense when it comes to Kelsey. There’s GOT to be a better love interest for everyone’s favorite millennial editrix, no?
