In case you missed it, my post two weeks ago was all about the new RockLove x Disney jewelry collection. Obviously, seeing two brands I adore come together was a dream come true, especially when it tapped into Disney’s underrated darker side. Plus, I’ve mentioned and loved so many others in the past: ColourPop x My Little Pony. Bésame Cosmetics x Agent Carter. Columbia x Star Wars!!! So, that really got me thinking: what would my dream geeky fashion collaborations be?
Sadly, I can’t promise that any of these are in the works, nor can I gauge the likelihood of them ever happening. But, it’s still fun to think about, right? (But, if you’re well-connected and know how to get any of these ideas rolling, you know where to find me.)
Pinup Girl Clothing x The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
I’ve made my love of Pinup Girl Clothing very clear in the past but let me reiterate: subtly geeky, stylishly vintage-inspired, and size-inclusive. They check all of my boxes and will always hold a special place in my heart… and my bank account. Considering The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has brought so many amazing 50’s ensembles to my TV screen, I think the two would be a match made in heaven. And a match made in geek fashion. I’ll at least settle for them putting out a version of Midge’s pink coat because I seriously need that in my life.
RockLove Jewelry x Game of Thrones
Yes, RockLove deserved another mention. Never in my life have I found better crafted geeky jewelry. And never in my life have I shelled out for a ring that I made a point to wear every day and not lose. We’ve seen how fantastical RockLove can get with their collabs with Marvel, The Hobbit, Star Trek, and Outlander. Doesn’t it just make sense for Game of Thrones to come next? Who wouldn’t want a sterling jewelry line filled with dragons, wolves, and house crests?
BlackMilk x Motor Crush
We’ve already seen what good BlackMilk clothing can do with geeky activewear. (And if you haven’t, allow me to present to you the Hogwarts Active Collection.) I would absolutely go crazy for them to put out a Domino Swift-inspired athleisure collection (with some bodycon dresses and matching separates for Lola, of course.) Sign me up for checker print and racing stripes on everything, please and thank you.
Nike x Marvel
Back in March, designer Matthew Walsh created his own concepts for a Nike x Marvel collaboration. Surprising no one, they were incredible, and I’m still kind of bitter Nike didn’t just buy the designs off of him and produce them right away. I like to tell myself they’ll surprise-drop them (or something similar) right before the release of Avengers 4, but I won’t hold my breath, no matter how amazing they are.
