I’ve always loved a podcast, but recently they have overtaken my entire life. Whenever I have free time, you can find me listening to a podcast.
I love podcasts because of the diversity in topics. There’s something for everyone! My current topic of choice is comedy, so here’s a comprehensive list of what I’m listening to.
1. No Money Mo Problems
I’m a massive fan of Mo Gilligan, so No Money Mo Problems is my number one choice. Comedian Mo Gilligan discusses random topics with his friends, such as house parties, holidays, and technology. Mo has an excellent sense of humor and an entertaining outlook on life. This podcast is so much fun; I would 100% recommend it to anyone.
2. Off Menu
Off Menu is an extremely entertaining and unique podcast. Comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster have a different guest every episode and discuss their “dream meal” with them. They’re given a choice between still or sparkling water and poppadoms or bread, after which they discuss their dream starter, main, drink, and dessert. Every episode is extremely entertaining, even if you aren’t a foodie!
3. The Amusical Podcast
Listening to The Amusical Podcast is some of the most fun I’ve had in ages. Its three hosts have a guest on every episode and discuss their first musical, favorite musical theatre songs, and their favorite musical. It’s so fun to listen to, and it’s also a great way to find some new musicals.
4. Something Rhymes With Purple
This podcast is a bit of a departure from the comedy theme, but it is SO much fun. Susie Dent and Gyles Brandreth have a theme for each episode and talk about the origins of words that fit into that theme. It’s very interesting and super fun for word geeks to listen to. They also answer listener questions, so if you have any questions about language, be sure to send them in!
5. Sartorial Geek
Well, it would be remiss of me not to include this one, wouldn’t it? If you aren’t already listening, add The Sartorial Geek to the list. Jordan and Liz are so much fun to listen to, and their podcast is so geeky and fun. They also interject style and self-care tips, which are definitely useful for your day to day life. Get this in your ears!
