As some of you may know, I recently co-hosted a Star Wars-themed fashion challenge. In preparation for The Rise of Skywalker premiere, we came up with daily and festive themes. By the time this post is published, the movie will be out! I’m so excited! So there won’t be any spoilers in this post (because at the time of writing this, I haven’t seen it).
But this post isn’t about that! This post is about day one of The Rise of Style fashion challenge. Day one fell on the final “Friday the 13th” of the decade. So we just had to do a villain-themed day! We called it Friday the Sith-teenth!
For this look, I wanted to incorporate a lot of edgy elements and I am just so pleased with the outcome.
Starkiller Base (of the look)
So here are the deets. I went to Box Lunch and found this shirt perfectly sitting at the top of a pile of other shirts, in my size, with three of my favorite Star Wars characters. Needless to say, it was meant to be!
I paired that my black skater skirt from Amazon, my red doc martens, and a mesh body suit I had purchased for my fem Kylo Ren cosplay I wore a few years ago for the turtleneck and sleeves.
I Find Your Lack of Accessories Disappointing
For the Star Wars details, I wore First Order crew socks (which are just so thick) from Smuggler’s Bounty, my Kylo Ren necklace that was purchased at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, and my Loungefly Vader bag (also from Box Lunch)!
I also got this belt from another pair of pants (that sadly didn’t fit) but jeez does it look great with this look! And I am so happy to have it in my collection.
The Helmet
As for headwear, I was between a few different things. Of course I wanted to wear the Kylo helmet, because . . . well . . . Kylo! But I also had an Imperial baseball hat purchased from Box Lunch that is just so simple and cute that I knew it would look perfect with this. And as an extra, my Kylo tattoo perfectly fit the outfit!
To wrap this up, I am just so excited for The Rise of Skywalker and to discuss it with you all! I cannot wait to see what happens to my main fictional boyfriend, Kylo (who I wanted to base my look off of but chose this instead).
What did you wear to the premiere and what were your thoughts?
